Autorenporträt
Maurice Halbwachs est un sociologue français de l'école durkheimienne né à Reims le 11 mars 1877 et mort en déportation à Buchenwald le 16 mars 1945. Il est l'auteur d'une thèse sur ' La classe ouvrière et les niveaux de vie '. Les Cadres sociaux de la mémoire, son uvre la plus célèbre, étudie le concept de mémoire collective, qu'il a créé.
