Zawadi Sakapalla-Ukondwa is a Tanzanian American author and loving mom who creates educational stories for preschool and early grade readers in a fun and meaningful way. Her stories celebrate kindness, friendship, and cultural connection. Zawadi co-founded the Sakapala Community Center, offering early education and volunteer programs in Tanzania. When she is not writing, Zawadi enjoys traveling, listening to music, volunteering and crafting Swahili flavored dishes at home in Howard County, Maryland with her husband and two kids. 100% of her book proceeds support education and community projects in Tanzania.
