When Amanda meets Sophia, their connection is instant-two women drawn together by wit, warmth, and an uncanny ability to understand each other's hearts. Their friendship quickly becomes a refuge from loneliness, politics, and the constant noise of modern life. But one morning, everything changes. Left reeling and searching for answers, Amanda begins to write-to remember, to question, and to heal. Through journal entries, letters, and reflections shared with the one person who can no longer answer, she slowly finds her way back to peace. With her husband, Steve, quietly steady at her side, Amanda learns that grief and love often share the same space. Set against the backdrop of Utah's mountains and the small, tender moments of everyday life, Letters to Sophia is an intimate exploration of friendship, loss, and renewal-a story of learning to keep living, even when someone you love is gone.
Autorenporträt
J.J. Kunkle grew up in Ohio, where she discovered her love of language, long runs, and good coffee. She earned both her B.A. in English Literature and M.S. in Communications/Journalism from Ohio University. Since 2018, she's owned and operated Copy Cat Editing and Proofreading Services, LLC, helping other writers bring their words to life. Letters to Sophia is her first novel-a deeply personal story of friendship, loss, and healing. When she isn't writing or editing, you'll find J.J. on a trail, a paddleboard, or a porch with a cat in her lap. Once an avid trail runner, she jokes that her knees have "retired before the rest of her."
