Licenciada en Pedagogía y Máster en Educación por la Universidad Federal de Juiz de Fora. Actualmente es doctoranda en el Programa de Postgrado en Educación de la Universidad Federal Rural de Río de Janeiro. Sus estudios y experiencias con la Educación Ambiental comenzaron durante su maestría y continúan durante su doctorado desde una perspectiva Crítica.
