Autorenporträt
R. A. Moorhouse is a retired teaching assistant and youth worker. She spent three decades working with special needs children, most of whom lived in areas without access to farm animals. Once an aspiring veterinarian, she looks back fondly on her annual trips with kindergarten students to an experimental farm. She lives in Ottawa, where she belongs to Friends of the Farm and the Museum of Nature.
