Have you ever asked yourself: Who am I? Why am I here? What is my worth and potential? Is there life after this one? Pastor Lawrence Manu examines from a biblical viewpoint these and other common questions that have weighed on people's minds throughout the ages. In today's constantly shifting society, many people-maybe you are one of them-are struggling to understand their identity, value, potential, and purpose, leaving them feeling hopeless and lost. But no one should feel this way! There is assurance, contentment, and comfort in knowing that these things are all found in God, who created each one of us in His likeness, and that this truth never changes. In Life's Questions, the Bible's Answers, you will learn the importance of: ¿ knowing, being, and developing yourself to become fulfilled rather than trying to imitate and please others ¿ understanding where you came from so that you can connect with your Maker and be strong, effective, and fruitful ¿ recognizing what you are here for so that you have purpose, motivation, and meaning ¿ realizing your value and capabilities so that you will be confident to use your gifts to touch lives and accomplish things ¿ knowing where you are going from here so that you have hope and direction for living, are able to order your life accordingly, and can prepare yourself for the life to come in Heaven If you have been wondering if there is significance to your existence-there is, and this book is a must-read to explain why.
Lawrence Manu was born in Ghana, the fifth of ten siblings. He grew up and had his elementary education in a rural community. The demands and deprivations of village life instilled the values of hard work, endurance, self-restraint, and contentment in him at an early age. Lawrence trained as elementary school teacher and taught in public schools for years before going to the University of Ghana, Legon, where he graduated with an Honors B.A. in political science and sociology in 1985 and served as a teaching assistant. He then moved to Canada in 1987 for graduate studies at the University of Toronto, where he obtained an M.A. in political science and M.Ed, and also served as a teaching assistant. It was after this, when life's troubles arose, that Lawrence began to have a personal relationship with God. He sought and served the Lord diligently and was called to full-time ministry with the Church of Pentecost Canada in 2004, where he pastored until his retirement in 2019. Lawrence now lives in Georgetown, Ontario, with his wife, Lydia Mensah, married for over forty years. They have three grown children-Vera, Lawrence Jr., and Cecilia-and three grandchildren-Avah, Ariel, and Amaya. Lawrence enjoys spending time with his family, studying, teaching, praying, charity, and soccer.
