Lift Lines is a spirited and heartfelt look at life on the mountain through the eyes of a lift operator. Written over three seasons spent working and playing at ski resorts far from home, this collection captures the rhythm of resort life-icy mornings, powder days, and frozen fingers. Told from the perspective of a Houston native who doesn't like the cold but loves the snow, these poems find the magic in the mountains. For anyone who's chased winter or just wondered what it's like up there-this one's for you.

Autorenporträt
Hayley Garcia is from Houston, Texas, where winters are warm and snow used to be just a rumor. After spending the last three years working as a lift operator at ski resorts out west, she realized, she still doesn't like the cold, but the snow makes up for it. This is her first book of poetry, written between chairlift rides and slow mornings in the shack. It's all about mountain life, the weird and wonderful people who chase the season, and finding joy way up high.
