In this various chapters of the book I shed light on the notion of equivalence and the difficulties caused by the distinctiveness of the media discourse in terms of semantics, structure and cultural aspects with reference to the translation of BBC news into Arabic. The study presents evidence to the effect that translation of media political text constitutes a major area of difficulty for translators and interpreters since the translators sometimes have been affected by ideological thinking.
