These are reflections on the practice of music and literature, in particular what slam, rap and poetry can bring to human societies. Here, we present a theoretical analysis of slam and rap and their poetic, cultural and social implications. An analysis highlighting the analogy between rap, slam and poetry in the light of the philosophy of ordinary language in artistic creations. Whether in their depth of meaning or their aesthetic value, rap, slam and poetry are sister arts whose mother is literature.
