Joann Frasier Dasent aka Auntie Jo Jo The Storyteller holds a M.A. in the Oral Traditions. She is the founder of Regenerating Our Offspring Through Stories, Inc. a 501 (c) 3 non-profit. Their mission is to use the art of storytelling to promote literacy in order to reach the various types of learners in a multicultural society. Mrs. Dasent is involved in teaching and re-telling folk, familial, traditional fables and stories. Her revised Aesop fable "A Farmer, His Son and Their Mule" was published in the National Association of Black Storytellers first anthology Sayin' Somethin' which later received a Kirkus review. Her second book inspired from a journey to South Africa is titled "A Cool Windy Day On Table Mountain." This book will make its way to South Africa in the Fall of 2025 for the children to interact with. "The Adventures of Auntie Jo Jo and Super Titan is her first comic book that was co-written and illustrated by Patrick Harrington.
