"Living in the Unknown, Caribbean Way" is a fictional story about Esther, who leaves the island of Saint Vincent in 1956 to build a better life after her husband was murdered on the island. She aims to further her career in nursing to support her family, leaving her daughter Margaret to be raised by her parents. Margaret, left on the island, faces various challenges after her mother Esther moves to England. Eight years later, Esther sends for Margaret after getting remarried. Both Esther and Margaret realize that living in England is different from what they had imagined while living on Saint Vincent. The story draws inspiration from true events, focusing on the experiences of the Windrush Generation, including racial issues and psychological challenges. Margaret finds solace in the reggae scene and London Clubs as an escape from life's difficulties.
