About the Author Virginia was born and raised in the Philippines, where she worked and served all her vocations. Throughout her 78 years, she has worn hats in different shapes and sizes - that of wife, mother, grandmother, friend, teacher, public servant, human resource practitioner, entrepreneur, and recently, author and publisher. Gie, as she is called by many, taught middle school at the Jose Abad Santos Memorial School. Gie, as she is fondly called by many, taught middle school at the Jose Abad Santos Memorial School. Later, she joined the public sector by serving with the Civil Service Commission, the Philippine Social Security System, and the Quezon City Local Government. Upon her retirement and migration to the US, Gie found haven in self-expression and creative activities- particularly crocheting, beading, and haiku-writing. In the future, she wants to publish more poetry as her legacy and in gratitude for the full like with which she has been gifted. Gie resides in the picturesque state of Oregon, near two of her grown children and their families.
