Ava Andrews is twelve years old and lives in Sydney, Australia, with her mum, dad, sister Leah and two pet budgies, Harmony and Ella. Ava has always been drawn to reading and writing. She won't go to bed until she's read a book - a great habit! And she often writes stories just to entertain herself. This is Ava's first book, but it has been in her mind for years, waiting for the right time to be put down on paper. She wrote it when she was just eleven, while visiting her grandparents in Ireland.
