Howard Roger Garis was an American author, born on April 25, 1873, in Binghamton, New York. He is best known for creating the beloved character Uncle Wiggily Longears, an elderly rabbit who starred in a popular series of children's books. Many of his books, including those featuring Uncle Wiggily, were illustrated by Lansing Campbell, contributing to their charming and enduring appeal.
