Autorenporträt
A lifelong environmentalist, internationally-awarded sculptor, Margot McMahon sculpts writes, and paints the interconnectivity of forms of nature. Humans, plants, and animals symbolize lifeforms through her interpretations. The Smithsonian and the Museum of Contemporary Art collected her sculptures. Aquarius Press published If Trees Could Talk, a National Book Award recipient, Mac and Irene: A WWII Saga, and Airdrie, a YA book. Margot recently published her fourth book with Aquarius Press for release at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art in December 2022: RESIST! A Visual History of Protest. Her three children live on three coasts, one is nearby. She and her husband live in Oak Park, Illinois.
