Autorenporträt
Bingqi Chen, born on June 24, 1964, was a professor at College of Engineering, China Agricultural University. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical design and manufacturing from Henan University of Science and Technology, a master's and a doctor's degree from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, a JSPS (Japan Society for Promotion Science) Post-doctoral Fellow, and a visiting scholar of JSPS. He founded Beijing Modern Fubo Technology Co. Ltd., and used to work for: Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences and a Japanese image processing software development company. Specialty: image processing and machine vision technology. The book Machine Vision Technology won the Excellent Book Award of Chemical Industry Press in 2019. The Research on Robot Vision of Rice Seed Transplanting won the High Automation Research Award of Japan-China Science and Technology Exchange Association in 1997. He has 16 monographs and textbooks, presided over the development of more than 50 image processing software projects, authorized 14 invention patents, and published more than 70 papers. Siyao Chen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic Information Engineering from the College of Information and Electrical Engineering, China Agricultural University, in 2019. From October 2019 to March 2025, he pursued his master’s and doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University, Japan. During this period, he also completed the Platform Program for the Graduate School of Excellence at Kyoto University. While undertaking his Ph.D., he was concurrently a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). His research focuses on microfluidic biosensing and the application of computer vision in plant phenotyping.
