K.N. Singh was born in a small village in Uttar Pradesh in 1937. After completinghis Intermediate Science from Wesley School in Azamgarh, he pursued a Master's Degree in Geology at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi.In 1961, Singh began his academic career as a Lecturer at the Department ofGeology and Geophysics at BHU. However, he soon transitioned from teaching to a professional career in geology, joining the Geological Survey of India in July 1964. Over the years, he made significant contributions to the field and retired as the Director of the Petrology Division.Singh's passion for writing has led to his articles being published in prominent newspapers such as the Gulf Daily News, Khaleej Times of Bahrain, and Dubai.He has authored four books: Geo-scientific Perspective of Samudramanthan(2020), The Journey from Ayodhya to Ram Setu (2023), Her Stories, HerEmotions: A Perspective from the Ramayana (2024), and The Unfolding Map: A Story of Self-Discovery (2024).His works reflect a deep understanding of geological science intertwined with richcultural and historical insights.
