MGNREGA aims to achieve the objective as enunciated in the Article 41 of the Indian Constitution "giving citizens the right to work". NREGA has come after almost 56 years of experience of other rural employment programmes, which include both Centrally Sponsored Schemes and those launched by State Govt. Thus MGNREGA is not only a welfare initiative but also a development effort that can take the Indian economy to a new prosperity. This study book discussed MGNREGS and its implementation in the rural area, the scheme enhancing livelihood security of households in rural areas of the country.

Der Autor ist ein angesehener Gelehrter mit LL.M., Ph.D. und UGC(PDF) in Recht von der Andhra Universität. Er verfügt über 16 Jahre Erfahrung und hat mehr als 40 Artikel in internationalen und nationalen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht und 5 Bücher bei internationalen Verlagen herausgegeben. Derzeit ist er außerordentlicher Professor und HOD of Law bei VISTAS, Chennai.
