Raja Mehdi Ali Khan was a famous Urdu humorist and Poet in the twentieth century who started his career in literary journalism and later joined the radio. He gained considerable popularity as a lyricist in the Indian Film Industry. The film songs he created are still pleasing to the ears. Despite the busyness of the film world, his best satirical and humorous works continued to be published in newspapers and magazines of India and Pakistan.
