He's currently developing a new musical called THE SOUND with his wife and long-time collaborator, Charlotte Cohn, and composer/lyricist Christian Douglas (current star of Moulin Rouge! on Broadway). The new musical, which is inspired by true events taking place in Denmark during WWII, was a Finalist for the Pipeline Arts Foundation and Vanguard Arts Fund at Olney Theatre Center, a two-time Semi-Finalist for the National Music Theater Conference at the O'Neill, and had a staged reading at JCC Manhattan and one at Safra Hall with TONY winner Debbie Gravitte. In May 2026, there will be a full production at JCC CenterStage in Rochester. Jason was the winner of the Hudson Valley Writers Workshop contest and a Finalist for the McKnight National Residency and Commission. His plays for students include MAKE 'EM LAUGH (over 30 high school and college productions, published by Uproar Theatrics) and two upcoming titles, MITZVAH CRASHERS and SWEET 16 CRASHERS (published by Uproar Theatrics). On television, Jason's work as a writer and producer has been seen on HBO Max, National Geographic, the History Channel, A&E, Discovery, and Netflix. Jason and his wife live in New York City, while their daughter is studying theatre in the UK. They would like to move there some day.
