He is clean and sober more than thirty years, has overcome depression, cancer, two hip replacements, an intestinal resection, spinal fusion and a double hernia operation...so far. Rather than seeing himself as a victim of circumstance, he is grateful for the wonderful care and support he's enjoyed and leans into spirituality and his creative work.David also plays piano and sings professionally and loves to paint, which he does both for fun and commission.
