Oldman Ciapha and Lami, two of the story's principal characters, embarked on a perilous journey into the unknowns of the Evil Forest to appease the gods and rid the Ciapha's family of impending irreconcilable deaths. While on the journey, Ciapha and Lami debate the exploits and continuous exploits of the developed world on Africa's people and natural resources. Mamuna, upon which the story revolves, and the West await the gods' verdict within a fortnight.
Dr. A. Aquacious Addy, a humanitarian and strong advocate for African unity, is also an educator, a husband, and a father. He researched at the Library of Congress and the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford, while completing his doctorate program in the Integration of Religion & Society at the Omega Graduate School (formerly Oxford Graduate School) in Dayton, Tennessee, in 2018. His work focuses on addressing societal issues, particularly the exploitation of Africa by the developed world. From an early age, his passion for writing opened many educational doors, taking him from the dusty walls of Slipway Elementary in an under-resourced neighborhood to B.W. Harris Episcopal High School in Monrovia, then to the Cuttington University College in Suacoco, Liberia. The author earned a master's degree in economics from Prairie View A&M University in Texas, while continuing to write and share his stories with friends and family. The author brings African narratives to life through captivating and emotionally charged stories that uniquely parallel actual historical and current events, creating numerous teachable moments. These writings mirrored his mother's core beliefs, enriched with proven stories,proverbs, and wisdom.
