Mumbere Saambili Jean è nato il 25 novembre 1986 a Miriki, nella regione di Lubero della provincia del Nord Kivu, nella Repubblica Democratica del Congo. Ha frequentato la scuola primaria presso l'Ecole Primaire Kasando 2 e la scuola secondaria a Kirumba presso le Suore della Compagnia delle Marie di Notre-Dame. Ha poi studiato agronomia all'università di Butembo.
