Anthony Mirando Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Kent State University, where he has been teaching, researching, and writing within the Construction Management program for over ten years. Based in Kent, Ohio, he brings more than fifteen years of experience in commercial and specialized residential construction, with over $750 million in managed work. His extensive professional practice significantly contributes to his research and writing endeavors. Dr. Mirando's research focuses on sustainable building technologies, particularly mass timber construction, third-party sustainability certifications, and various project management disciplines. He holds a PhD in Geography from Kent State University, an M.S. in Management from Colorado State University, a B.S. in Construction Management from Kent State University, and LEED AP-ND sustainability credentials. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Mirando has been recognized with Kent State's most prestigious teaching honor, the Outstanding Teaching Award (2024). He has also earned All-Mid-American Conference Academic First Team honors in football, was selected as a National Football Foundation Fellow, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers, professional presentations, and conference proceedings. Lameck Onsarigo Ph.D. is a distinguished Associate Professor of Construction Management at Kent State University, specializing in sustainable construction technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Indiana State University, as well as a Master of Technology Management (MTM) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bowling Green State University. Additionally, Dr. Onsarigo earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya. His research focuses on the development and application of innovative construction technologies that promote sustainability in the industry. Key areas of his work include trenchless technologies, mass timber construction, and the integration of green technologies into building practices. Dr. Onsarigo has published extensively on topics such as the impact of trenchless technologies on construction projects, legal protections in construction contracts, the effect of prevailing wages on construction projects, strategies for enhancing labor productivity, improving quality, and the role of mass timber in sustainable building practices, among other cutting-edge topics. In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Onsarigo is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT). He is also a co-founder of Construction Consulting Services, a platform dedicated to advancing education, research, and innovation in the construction industry. Dr. Onsarigo's work has made a profound impact on the construction industry, advancing sustainable practices while fostering the integration of technological advancements and environmental responsibility. His dedication to bridging these areas positions him as a leading figure in shaping the future of sustainable construction.
