Jo's work involves extorting the most sleazy males in Los Angeles, including unfaithful actors, sleazy Hollywood producers, and dishonest police officers. She appreciates the income, which helps her pay off her debt, but it's also an opportunity for the city's women to reclaim their authority. Jo does bigger and riskier projects in an effort to impress her coworker Lou and their enigmatic supervisor, the Lady Upstairs.
