This work presents the medicinal herbs used in the community, being inserted as methodological tools for teaching chemistry, showing how the active principles of medicinal herbs can be used to illustrate topics in Organic Chemistry, as well as promoting the connection between science and popular culture.Medicinal herbs have been used for millennia as a source of healing and well-being.
