Autorenporträt
Enomwoyi Damali was born in Trinidad, but has long lived in London, where she works as an educational psychologist. Her long professional experience in a highly diverse community gives authenticity and veracity to her stories of Amber Class and their ever-resourceful teacher, Mrs. Adisa. Enomwoyi, whose name means "she has grace and charm", describes her goal as "to help children think about and practice the personal development skills and qualities needed to live life fully and to treat each other with love and respect." Ruthine Burton's parents came originally from Dominica and French Guiana. She has a B.A. hons in Visual Art from the University of Wales in Aberystwyth, and also an M.Sc. in Software Engineering. She has worked as a pavement portrait artist and in the games industry. Ruthine is one of the three illustrators featured in Our Rights, edited by Jake Hope (Otter-Barry Books), and also illustrator of Spin! 10 Exciting New Voices in Poetry (2024).
