Sharon Hanna was born and raised in a small rural mining town in Central Western New South Wales, Sharon now lives in Rockhampton, Queensland with two daughters, one of whom is living with CDKL5, a rare neurological condition which spans several developmental domains and has had a severe impact of the family as a whole. Sharon's main role has been caregiver to her daughter Mackenzie, while working and being involved in many creative pursuits serving as an emotional outlet as well a break from the demands of a 24/7 caring role. Sharon considers spending time with her family and close friends to be most important to her. "Meet Mr Pickles" is Sharon's first children's book, with her main goal being to promote inclusivity, diversity and acceptance in communities as well as a global scale.
