In March 2020, Covid struck and the world changed forever. Much of the globe went into lockdown, and life as we knew it shifted in ways we could never have predicted. In late June 2021, the author awoke one morning with a clear intention: to create a book capturing "lives during these times." She had watched families and friends grow increasingly divided by conflicting views about what was happening in the world. Anger and frustration rose as people struggled to understand perspectives different from their own. Fear, blame, and anxiety became all too common. People were suffering-and if there was anything we didn't need more of, it was suffering. Each of us carries our own circumstances, beliefs, thoughts, feelings, hopes, and fears. The author's aim with this book is to foster greater respect, love, and understanding by sharing individual, heartfelt stories from ordinary people. These stories reveal where they were in their lives when Covid first struck and how they have navigated the past six years. Contributors come from different countries, different situations, and often hold very different opinions. Some writers have continued sharing their journeys since the first book was published in 2021, while others join here in the fourth instalment of the Memories series. Within these pages, you'll find unique reflections and life experiences, including the profound changes that began during the first lockdown in 2020. Join the author as she continues her journey through the lockdown years-remembering always that we don't all see things the same way.
Autorenporträt
Rosanne Gallagher is now living in the beautiful West Country of England. Born in London, the author grew up in West Sussex. She loves people, animals and her family. She had happy, loving and supportive parents, and her friends were very important to her. Growing up, family pets includeddogs, cats, guinea-pigs, rabbits and mice, and at the age of 12 - her first pony. Schooling was never destined to lead to academic victory but she made fabulous friends and to her delight some have written in the 'Memories' series. Nearing her 18th birthday, with dismal A-level results on thenear horizon, she persuaded her poor long suffering parents that she would do better working in London and with heavy hearts they agreed. London in the 70¿s was fabulous and gave her the independence she wanted, more friends and live music, lots of live music! Life was good! Some years later a job offer in Spain came up and her love affair with Spain began; the people, the culture, the language, the weather! She has 3 children and 2 grandchildren and looks back on each part of her life as a wonderful experience! When covid struck at the beginning of 2020 she decided to move back to the UK until the dust settled and as she witnessed the divide that wasspreading globally between people with different views and beliefs she was inspired to write the 'Memories Of Lockdown' series, followed by this book - the 4th book in the 'Memories' series. The aim of these books is to continue helping people understand each other and to accept that "we don't all see things the same way." She remains eternally optimistic for a bright future!
