A Notre Dame track record-holder (Class of '69), he furthered his education at MIT and Meharry Medical College, becoming a distinguished ophthalmologist and medical innovator. Beyond medicine, he is an accomplished jazz saxophonist and inventor with multiple medical technology patents.
