Autorenporträt

Amaya Tamés was born in Mexico City in 1977. She studied architecture in her youth, and for some time, she practiced it. But when she became a mother, she was inspired by her own son to study psychology and today works as a therapist helping children of all ages.During her childhood, she fell in love with literature and still considers children's literature her favorite genre to read as an adult. "Mended Heart" is her first book and is based on her personal experiences. Her wish is that boys and girls who have gone through a similar situation-being born with a congenital disease or defect that threatens their lives-see themselves in Sofía so she can hold their hand as they go through their own survival story.Amaya lives with her son, her husband, and her dog, Lexie, in Mexico City. The three of them are her greatest reasons to be happy and grateful for each day.
