Meri Chup Hi Kavita Kaihndi Hai is the first anthology of Punjabi poetry by Dr SS Bhatti who is an architect by profession. He is the highest qualified architect in India and the most versatile professional in the country. He has the historic honour of being a founder-teacher of Chandigarh College of Architecture from where he retired as the principal. He pursues 55 disciplines out of which Poetry figures among his hot favourites. He has been writing poems in four languages since 1969, and published 5 books in English and 8 anthologies in Urdu, with a critique of Urdu poetry in English, and won prestigious prizes. Dr Bhatti is an impassioned protagonist of literary creativity, especially poetry which he, in agreement with the great Indian tradition, places at Number One on the list of 64 Fine Arts. His credo is that without poetry the bewildering range of human activities on Planet Earth constitute a prosaic plateau that inspires no soul. With his characteristic moral force, he asserts that it is no wonder everything was written in verse form in ancient India.

Dr SS Bhatti [80] is India's most versatile professional-architect; artist; art, architecture & literature critic; poet; singer; musicologist; writer; philosopher; and mystic. He applies the tools of Theory, Practice, Research, and Pedagogy to the study of four major fields of human endeavour: the Humanities, Art, Science, and Technology. He hails from a family of artists, architects, artisans, and builders. His ancestors built the Badshahi Masjid [Royal Mosque] in Lahore during Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's reign. His father Sardar Balwant Singh Bhatti became the first medical artist when he joined Glancy Medical School, Amritsar, in 1941, and eventually set up the Museum for the Department of Anatomy. Dr Bhatti holds 'Human Creativity' to be a divine endowment to all peoples inhabiting the globe. He insists that Science belonging to the 'secular' quartet as noted above is not at all opposed to Spirituality which is the staple diet of Religion. Both are perfectly valid modes of apprehending the Objective [Outer World of Nature] and the Subjective [Inner World of Mind] Realities. Only their means and methods are different.
