Getting to know other cultures provides a more complete and motivating teaching and learning process. Therefore, working with teaching proposals focused on interculturality and Mexican linguistic variation can contribute significantly to Spanish as a Foreign Language classes, as it allows direct contact with the customs, beliefs, and spoken and written language used by these people. Furthermore, we believe that starting from what is already known, that is, cultural manifestations and the context of Brazilian students themselves, we can generate more dynamism and reflection during classes. In this way, we can minimise stereotypes and promote respect for their culture and other cultures while also teaching grammatical and communicative aspects.
