A room filled with rambunctious six-year-olds, desks covered in colorful doodles and overflowing with returned workbook pages, countless untied shoelaces, a rainbow of crayons scattered from door to wall, sticky hands waving wildly in the air, and nonstop chaos in every corner! An elementary school classroom is filled with interesting sights that catch the eye, but have you ever wondered how that same classroom looks to your teacher? What looks like chaos to the untrained eye may simply resemble a sea of calm to an educator! In My Teacher Sees Me by Sherna Spearman-Lott, you will experience the touching perspective of an elementary teacher as she goes about each day in an elementary school. You will witness the images that make an elementary teacher smile, cry, laugh, feel frustration, and so much more throughout the course of the school year. The touching illustrations by Gloria Blalock bring a story that fits into every classroom to life in full color. As you turn from one page to the next, you are bound to find a student who may even cause you to think of yourself.
