Produktbeschreibung
The latest entry in the Yale Oriental Series presents descriptions, translations, and commentary for tablets and seals from the Babylonian Collection at the Yale Peabody Museum   This volume presents twenty-four tablets, eight seal impressions, and seven cylinder seals from the Babylonian Collection at the Yale Peabody Museum, many of which have never been published. Most texts are Middle Assyrian; one is from the Neo-Assyrian period, and one is from Nuzi. The majority of the edited texts are administrative documents, in addition to two medical texts, one incantation, and one fragment of the Middle Assyrian Palace Edicts.   This volume provides detailed descriptions, new translations, and commentary for each text, in addition to a paleography of signs, comprehensive index, and the results of a portable X-ray Fluorescence (pXRF) analysis of several tablets investigating their provenience. It also features a discussion and catalogue of Middle Assyrian seals and seal impressions.
