Produktbeschreibung
This book, titled "Migration, Migration Policy, and Integration in Germany 2000-2007," aims to examine the management of mass immigration after reunification, particularly in the 2000s, by the German state and its institutions. This study focuses on two institutions, namely the Bundestag and the Federal Government. It is noteworthy that two governments managed this mass immigration-the Schröder government and the Merkel government. These two governments represent different critical positions regarding migration law. To understand the ongoing mass immigration, it is important to analyze the theoretical foundations of migration, especially through the comparison between international migration and globalization, which encourages this phenomenon through increased cross-border exchange of goods and services. The origin of migration policies as well as the change in patterns of international migration allow for a clearer view of the perspective of the Federal Government and the Germanpublic.
