Alí-Yulláh Nakhjavání (born 19 September 1919) served as a member of the Universal House of Justice, the supreme governing body of the Bahá'í Faith, between 1963 and 2003. Ali Nakhjavani was born in 1919 in Baku, Azerbaijan but grew up in Haifa, Israel. He graduated from the American University of Beirut, and then lived in Iran followed by Uganda for a number of years. Ali Nakhjavání is married to Violette Nakhjavání and they have one daughter, Bahiyyih, and one son, Mehran and currently reside in France.
