There is beauty in rebellion, poetry in ruin, and something sacred in the wreckage of those who refuse to kneel. Misanthropes of the Divine is a collection for those who question relentlessly, for the restless souls caught between damnation and transcendence. Rooted in existential longing and the defiant echoes of lost prophets, these poems dance on the edges of misanthropy and hope, whispering to the fractured, the forgotten, and those who still burn with insatiable passion. Inspired by the dervish specters of the Beat bards and troubadours, the non-binary and cosmic poetry of David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust, and the ancestral weight of immortal Mexica, this collection does not ask for your devotion-it dares you to see yourself in its verses. For the seekers, the cynics, and lovers of language that cuts deeper-this is for you. Read it. Feel it. Let it haunt you!
Autorenporträt
'Siva de Ferrera was born and grew up in his hometown of Tampa Bay, Florida. They have no formal education in writing beyond their General Education in High School and Some College, although they read voraciously from a very young age. They began writing in journals as a pre-teen which developed into poetry and prose eventually. The plan was always to try to publish a poetry book, but about 15 years ago a family member, accdentally, threw away an entire box filled with notebooks and loose paper full of writing since 'Siva was a teen, thinking it was garbage. His entire life's work. Luckily, some of that work, though not all, had been transferred to a computer and into the cloud. It was devistating. They have 3 adult children whom this book is dedicated to. In 2018 the writer moved across country and now resides in Portland, Oregon. They continue to work on other writing projects with hopes to publish a novel soon.
