The fourteenth century is very important for the world of clothing: it is the century in which 'fashion' was born, that is the need for constant change that will mark the following centuries. A clear distinction is made between male and female clothing, and many types of dresses become wholly or partly adherent. And therefore their sartorial structure is renewed, becoming much more complex.
