This volume gives and excellent survey of our presentknowledge of molecularprocesses in stellar andproto-stellar objects. It reviews molecular physicsinstellar environments and is intended to bridge the gapbetween astrophysicists and chemists. The topics range fromthe theoretical to the computational and includeobservational data. Among the topics treated are questionsof stellar evolution, the determination of physicalpropertiesand structures , and the chemical composition ofstellar protospheres. Opacity is studied in the context ofvarious types of stellar and proto-stellar objects.
