Evelyn spends summers in Canada touring, teaching, and visiting her northern friends. She inhales the strength of the rocks, the lakes, and the wild creatures she loves and becomes infused by the green of the evergreen forests. Then she winters in Mazatlán Mexico bathed in a floral rainbow nurtured by the power of the sun and sea, and the warmth of her southern friends and the Mexican people. Evelyn's life as a Holistic Physician, Health Coach, and Educator is informed by many spiritual, cultural, and healing traditions. However, the practice she has used for 45 years to heal deep wounds and maintain a courageous, compassionate, and joyful state of life is a daily vibrational tune-up chanting NamMyoHoRengeKyo as a Nichiren Daishonin Buddhist and member of its lay organization the Soka Gakkai (Value Creating Society of Canada). She experiences her artistry as directed by the muses. Her spiritual practice keeps her open to these visitations and the messages sent with their multilayered symbolism. She seeks to share the joy of her art and the empowerment of her chanting practice with others, facilitating Buddhist groups in Mexico and Canada.
