This work focuses on the intimate relationship between money and craving among users of psychoactive substances who are heavily addicted. Investigating the subjective aspects of this association was the chosen line of study. To this end, a theoretical-clinical discussion was held on the function of money in the psychic economy, as well as on the vicissitudes of the experience of craving in drug addiction. The impasses regarding the phallic significance linked to money and the anguish seen in the phenomenon of craving are the two key points in the assessment of the theme.
