Autorenporträt
Jan Flint loved sharing the adventures she could take through books with her children, but over the years, she realized the representation of children with disabilities was lacking. Flint believes all children should be included and accepted for who they are, allowing them to flourish. The "Mr. Whoo" book series is based off of her oldest daughter's unique view of life with a disability, as well as the imaginary friend she conjured up as a way to cope with others not understanding her differences. The hilarious antics of Flint's youngest daughter adds zesty color to the fun adventures throughout the book.
