For 30 years Maria Ann Laver was a successful Number 1 sales woman in the United Kingdom. She maintained her amazingly successful career even while being pregnant four times (with some miscarriages), enduring a separation, raising two children, and overcoming many tremendous challenges. In the midst of Maria's productive life, she was suddenly stricken with Multiple Sclerosis. From the ravages of this dreadful disease, she endured blindness, intense fatigue, disability and compromised mobility. She decided to fight back, determined to prevail against the mysterious and disabling disease of MS. Maria is quick to affirm she is not a doctor or medical professional. She does not dictate medical advice to MS sufferers. She is simply sharing her amazing personal path to victory over the symptoms of MS. She is passionate about empowering others to take control of their health and lifestyle. Maria's conviction is that our bodies are a reflection of our lifestyle choices. Determined "not to be owned" by MS and to live a life free of blindness, disability, and dependence upon medication, she integrated natural lifestyle choices into her daily routines. She has pulled back her life from the grips of MS.
