Dr K.V.S. Sarma served as a professor of Statistics in Sri Venkateswara University since 1977 till 2016. He taught various subjects of statistics for 39 years which include Operations Research, Statistical Quality Control, Probability theory, Computer programming. His areas of Research Interests are Inventory modeling, Sampling plans and Data Analysis. He has guided 20 Ph.D theses on diverse topics and published more than 60 research articles in reputed international journals. He has authored a book titled 'Statistics Made Simple' using Excel and SPSS, apart from delivering lectures on software based analysis and interpretation. He has delivered more than 100 invited talks in various conferences and training programmes and he is a life member of the Indian Society for Probability and Statistics (ISPS), the Operations Research Society of India. He is a consultant to clinical researchers and currently working as Biostatistician cum Research Coordinator in Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS). Dr Rudravaram Vishnu Vardhan is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics, Pondicherry Central University, Puducherry. His areas of research are Biostatistics - classification techniques; Multivariate Analysis and Regression Diagnostics; Statistical Computing. He has published 52 research papers in reputed National and International journals. He has guided two Ph.D. students and 39 P.G projects. He is a recipient of Ms.Bhargavi Rao and Padma Vibhushan Prof. C R Rao Award for best Poster Presentation in an International Conference in the year 2010, Indian Society for Probability and Statistics (ISPS) Young Statistician Award, December 2011 and Young Scientist Award from Indian Science Congress, February 2014. He has authored a book and also edited a book. He has presented 34 research papers in National and International conferences/Seminars, delivered 39 invited talks at various reputed institutes/ universities in India. He has organized three national workshops, one national conference and one international conference. He is a life member of several professional bodies. He serves as referee and also holds the position of editorial member in reputed journals.
