There is growing attention to the introduction of humanities and arts subjects in medical education. Music is an instrument that is rarely used in medical education. It has unique characteristics that make it an excellent educational resource, due to the possibility of expressing emotions. In just a few minutes, themes of interest in medical learning, such as loss, compassion, sadness and solidarity, can be identified and used in pedagogical processes. Music - like other artistic manifestations - allows us to deal with the student's affective universe. In this book, we show how to promote a reflective attitude within an academic discipline.
