My Gra-ti-tu-i-tree is a heartwarming picture book that follows young Sydney Fox as he discovers the magic of gratitude. Living with his busy Mama, who works from home, and his Papa, a Space Force pilot often away on duty, Sydney wishes they could always be there to play. One day, on a family walk, Papa compares gratitude to a magic tree that grows every time we appreciate the good in our lives. When Mama is too busy to play, Sydney heads out to the backyard with his dog, Bran, and stuffed bear, BeBe. His friends Kori and Jeremy join him and together they imagine the backyard is a magic "Play Island," where they hunt for treasure, fly a Golden Kite, and pretend Bran is a dragon. As they find joy in their adventures, Sydney's Gra-ti-tu-i-tree sprouts new leaves-friendship, teamwork, fun, and discovery. But when a gust of wind scatters their treasures, the children feel lost. With Mama's help, Sydney learns that even when things go wrong, the magic of gratitude can still grow, and Mama also discovers her own Gra-ti-tu-i-tree to be thankful for. Beautifully illustrated and filled with humor, adventure, and heartfelt moments, this story encourages children and readers alike to nurture gratitude every day.
