Autorenporträt
Joyce McClanahan grew up in Seattle. She now resides in Richland, Washington with her cat and a collection of children's books. She has aways enjoyed children's literature and storytelling. Joyce was a founding member of The Eastern Washington Watercolor Society and served as its president several times. Her background includes teaching, adventure trips backpacking in the Cascade Mountains and sailing the waters from the Columbia River to Alaska in a small boat. Her paintings reflect this wide background and love of wildness. They have been regularly included and have won awards in national juried shows. MY GRANDPA, SUPERMAN was designed to stimulate the memory of a special grandpa. It has been used as a training aid for workers in a memory care facility to help them appreciate the rich backgound of their patients.
