Produktbeschreibung
Lily shares the story of her little brother Peter, who has a dual diagnosis of Hirschsprung Disease and Down syndrome. Lily tells us more about life with these diagnoses and how the family has worked together to give Peter a happy, healthy, and safe home. Raising a child who has a hard time communicating his or her feelings (such as a child with Down syndrome) adds to the difficulty of coping with any complex medical condition such as Hirschprung Disease. Both conditions combined represent multiple challenges to the child and their family. Those dealing with similar situations will relate to such challenges. This book concludes with a letter addressed to adult caregivers in which the author shares her personal story and experience with her son, who has both conditions, in the hopes of helping others.
