Ann Gregory Ward's passionate curiosity and affinity for adventure flourished throughout her childhood in south Texas. Her writing began with unforgettable experiences Ann shared with friends in third grade, spurred by childhood stories like Swiss Family Robinson, Gulliver's Travels and later, Aladdin. Ann's studies in journalism and education set the stage for this children's story debut, in which a captivating new girl from the other side of the world becomes the target for classroom bullies-whose mean behavior is ultimately displaced by humor and grace. Ann's dream as a writer is to help young minds develop a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.
